Preconstruction Services and Consulting

UCC assists with site feasibility studies and comparisons, as well as site/geotechnical risk assessments during the early stages of project planning. During plan development, we have the expertise to budget alternate scenarios and assess value engineering options to ensure projects remain within budget constraints. Additionally, we develop realistic sitework schedules to help developers, owners, and general contractors evaluate their options.

Industrial Commercial and Residential Sitework

UCC ownership has extensive experience with industrial commercial and residential sitework so we understand that safety, cost, and schedule are what drives success for our clients. Along with general contractors and other subcontracted partners, we work to deliver projects efficiently and cost effectively so owners and developers can focus on what's important to them. From smaller sites with relatively short sitework schedules, to complex jobs with aggressive schedules, our passion for the work and commitment to our partners remain our highest priority.

Landfill Construction

Our team has managed and built over 500 acres of new clay/HDPE lined cells in South Carolina and Georgia so we understand the regulatory requirements and tight specifications in place to protect our environment. We work together with both private and public landfills to source the necessary materials, maintain quality controls, and construct landfill cells efficiently to ensure our partners have the storage volume and airspace they require - when they require it.

Site Utility Installation

UCC has the expertise and equipment to tackle site underground utility packages in sync with earthwork and grading operations. We perform domestic water line and sanitary sewer line installation in accordance with local code and OSHA trench safety standards.

Environmental Remediation and Site SWPPP

Permit requirements and environmental impacts require swift action and careful planning and execution. We are qualified to construct stormwater management ponds, install erosion control BMPs, and cleanup environmental impacts to satisfy project permit requirements and regulatory agencies.

Mining and Quarry Support

Mines and quarries are the ultimate civil construction project. Whether installing erosion control measures to satisfy permit requirements or bringing in big iron to excavate and stockpile overburden material, our team has the experience in surface mining and MSHA regulations to keep mines productive, efficient, and profitable.

Pond and Containment Construction

Ponds and containment basins can be difficult to build correctly, but UCC has the knowledge and equipment to carefully control the subgrade permeability and thoroughly test liner systems. We have the tools, experience, and trade partners ready to tackle a wide array of containment projects.

Highway Infrastructure Construction

With over 30 year of experience, UCC has the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to construct all scopes of highway work, establish relationships with DOT and inspection staff, and deliver a project safely on time and on budget. UCC has the crews, equipment, and experience to handle earthwork, fine grading, drainage, cast in place retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures.
